A fuel gauge is an instrument found in vehicles and machinery that indicates the fuel level in the tank. It's typically located on the dashboard of a car or other motor vehicle, allowing the driver to monitor how much fuel is left. The gauge usually has a needle that moves between "E" (Empty) and "F" (Full), with markings in between that show various levels of fuel.

Some modern vehicles have digital fuel gauges, which display the fuel level as a bar or numerical percentage. The fuel gauge works with a sensor inside the fuel tank, often a float connected to a variable resistor, which sends signals to the gauge to show the current fuel level.
